U2’s Cape Town setlist, 18/02

Tonight, U2 performed in Cape Town. In a welcome initiative, the show was broadcast live on the Internet for U2.com subscribers. It was also broasdcast on Highveld and KFM 94.5 in South Africa, alongside a live stream onDstv.com, only available throughout the African continent.
I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For and Stand By Me were performed with Yvonne Chaka Chaka. Although Stand By Me has been a somewhat common snippet, it had only been played in full once previously on the 360° Tour, way back on 7 July 2009. Its addition to the setlist was the only change from Johannesburg; otherwise, the setlist was identical to that played five nights ago. This means that unreleased song North Star got another live outing. I Will Follow, Pride, and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me all stayed in the set, even though they are usually rotational.
By the way, City Of Blinding Lights has a new, extended intro. It features samples from Fez-Being Born and Zooropa. Unfortunately, it is just a taped intro; the band does not play any of either song live. If either song were actually snippeted by the band, it would be momentous; Fez has never appeared live in any form, while Zooropa has only been played three times.

Hi Martin,
Do you have any idea what the song is that they played just before U2 came on stage? Not the short intro before they walked in, the last song the Dj played.
Thanks
Chris
Absolutely stunning spectacle … have seen (for me) better musical performances, but this is the most spectacular show I have EVER witnessed! Well done to everyone involved!
