Brandon October Grabs His Second South African Music Award Nomination
South African singer Brandon October has been nominated at the 18th edition of the prestigious MTN SAMAs.
Brandon picked up his second ever nomination in the Best Pop Album Category for his self-titled album, when the list was unveiled at the SAMA nomination announcement in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 8th of March 2012. The album features 13 tracks, 6 of which are Afrikaans, 6 English and one in Italian.
In 2003, Brandon picked up his first ever SAMA nomination. His recent nomination sees him up against Jozi, Charlize Berg, Hulle, and Lloyd Cele.
‘I am ecstatic to be nominated. I’m hoping to win it this time round,‘ Brandon mentioned at a press interview held over the weekend.
This nomination comes just before Brandon’s first European tour planned for June. Brandon is scheduled to perform at CC Muziek Cafe, The Waterhole and Langendijk where he will showcase songs from his new self-titled album. His national tour continues around South Africa and has been received very favourably by audiences across the country so far.
