Rock for Reef 2 is being hosted by Zula Bar on Sat 12 Jan -4 top bands

Rock for Reef 2 is being hosted by Zula Bar in Long Street Cape Town and 4 amazing bands have willingly donated their time for this cause. McCree, Oswald City, Reburn and Red Tape Riot are joining forces to save Baby Reef. Werner Wener s the MC of the night and will hosting an auction of amazing stuff that people have willingly given us to raise more funds for Reef.

Baby Reef is the bravest little boy you will ever meet. Despite overwhelming odds, he continues to fight for his life all day, everyday. Time and time again specialists have predicted grave endings and every time Baby Reef proves them wrong. The 20,000 members of Baby Reef’s Facebook page (referred to as Team Reef) work tiresly to raise money to pay for the treatments that are essential for keeping Baby Reef alive. As these treatments are very unique, Baby Reef and his entire family sold everything they had to move to the United States where Baby Reef could undergo the specialized treatments that he requires. Baby Reef is real – Reef loves watching Mickey Mouse club house, he loves to dance to the hot diggity dog song, he loves to push buttons and switch switches and the love of his mother’s touch which warms his heart when the world gets too much.

We are all surrounded by pain and suffering on a daily basis and as much as we would like to, we can’t help everyone. What makes Baby Reef different is that although he is gravely ill, with the right treatments he can be saved. What ever support you can offer Baby Reef, know that this is directly responsible for saving his life. Baby Reef needs in excess if R23,434 every month to cover the cost of the life giving treatments. It is predicted that Baby Reef’s treatment regime will take at least three years to be completed. This requires a total amount of R3,543,534. This may seem like an insurmountable goal but cent by cent Team Reef pool their collective resources to ensure that Baby Reef has the funds that he needs to continue fighting for his life. You can’t help everyone but you can help save Baby Reef. Your contribution matters.
