Award Winning Artist Bianca Le Grange Reveals Herself! At the Baxter… 23 June – 5 July 2 014

This sassy, sensual multi talented – singer, pianist, violinist, actress and song writer reveals herself in her very first (written, produced and directed) musical at the Baxter’s Concert Hall this June.

 

Bianca has recently made Cape Town her home and “Revealed” will introduce her in more ways than one to her new audience and home. Hard work over 12 years has culminated in her lifelong dream of performing in her own musical. “Revealed” is her story, her struggles and triumphs. Bianca will perform her own compositions, her favourite songs and songs which have formed part of her life and love of music. She will be supported by the very talented Camillo Lombard, Donveno Prins, backing singers Nur Abrahams, Edith Plaaitjies, Aleshia Solomons and a full band.

Bianca is an accomplished musician who completed her schooling at The National School of the Arts, where she studied both classical and contemporary music. As a young girl, Bianca did ballet, modern and Spanish dancing. After matric, Bianca toured the country as well as Namibia and Botswana, doing salvation work for the needy. Bianca’s music career was formed around a lifelong focus on entertainment, including long-term and dedicated training. But it was boosted to the big time by the mixed blessings of reality TV when she appeared on the talent search, Idols (SA).

 

She now runs her own business, has her own entertainment company, appears frequently in popular musical theatre, guest presents on television and actively supports young talent with her social responsibility projects.

 

  • She has shared the stage with superstars such as Usher, P Diddy, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, as well as the cream of SA artists.
  • Special Guest on the Jerry Springer Saturday Night Live Show at Caesar’s Palace. She featured on many television shows such as JIP, Noot Vir Noot, KYK Net, Pitstop, Lirieke Raai and more recently, Pasella, Tempo and, Blonde Ambisie.
  • She wrote and staged a show, Bianca and the Swing Sisters at the Mardi Gras Theatre to raise funds for the Miriam Makeba Home for Girls.
  • Bianca has released four albums to date.
  • She played the lead role in the pantomime SNOW WHITE at the Civic Theatre
  • Performed at the Skouspel Plus Concerts, KKNK festival, Music Mania tours, Sizzling Sisters and Divas Concerts in Cape Town.
  • Played the lead as Mrs. Johnstone in David Kramer’s adaptation of the musical Blood Brothers, nominated for a Fleur Du Cap for Best Actress in a musical and wins a Naledi Award for Best Performance in a musical.
  • Her latest Album Net Jy /Just You nominated for a Ghoema award for best contemporary album.
