Fight Diabetes and Run/Walk towards a Healthy Life in Cape Town on 29 Nov

On Saturday 29 November 2014, take the challenge to living a healthy life and join Diabetes South Africa in the Cape Town Global Diabetes Run/Walk. With sponsors Lions International, the event opens at 07h00a.m. The 3km, 5km, and 10km run/walk starts at 08h30 from the grassy area (between St James & Norfolk Roads) opposite SABC in Green Point

 

There will be an excellent Healthy Living expo which includes FREE blood glucose testing, FREE blood pressure, FREE eye screening, FREE foot screening and much more! M.C. is well known Actor, Vocalist and Comedian “ ALVON COLLISON”.  Entertainment for the crowds will be performed by local personalities and loads of lucky participants will win spot prizes.

The first 1000 registered entries at the designated Sportsman’s Warehouse’s will receive a FREE goodie-bag. Sportsman’s Warehouse venues on Thurs 20 Nov in Rondebosch from 9am-6pm, Fri 21 Nov in Tokai from 9am-3pm, Canal Walk 5pm-9pm, Sat 22 Nov in Tygervalley from 9am-5pm and Sun 23 Nov in Sea Point from 9am-3pm. Look for Diabetes SA banners.

The first 1000 participants over the finish line will receive medals. Wear something blue to show your support- stand out to win some grand spot prizes! Take advantage of the health services at the Healthy Living expo or top off your energy with a healthy snack or meal. Join the fun and get energized with the live entertainment or enjoy a relaxing massage after you have taken part in the event.
