Both Craig and Martin have a shared current reality lived experience to share with artists.

AN OUTLINE ON EACH OF THE SPEAKERS WHO WILL PARTICIPATE:

Martin Myers

Martin Myers is the founder of Music Exchange, an annual conference and skills-sharing platform, which launched in 2009.

He was contracted to SONY Music for 17 years.

His personal and professional speaker network includes: UK: Christian Wright, Abbey Road Studios (London); Oscar-nominated film composer Trevor Jones; FRANCE: Ben Oldfield, The Orchard (Paris); GERMANY: Tim Renner, CEO of Universal Music,
Germany and Cultural Ambassador for the City of Berlin; USA: Mos Def, internationally acclaimed hip-hop artist/producer and actor; MOZAMBIQUE: Moreira Chonguica, jazz saxophonist, composer and producer.

Myers also runs an artist management agency with clients the calibre of Sipho Mabuse, Siphokazi Jonas, amongst others. He is also the owner of an eventing company; is a partner in a technical agency and co-founded a crewing business.

He has handled Press and PR duties for concerts presented by Sting and Duran Duran, to name only a few.

Myers was also a radio presenter on commercial radio for many years.

Craig Parks

Craig is the Founder and Producer of The Cape Town Jazzathon. Parks was also part of the original management team at P4 Radio 104.9 (today known as Heart FM). Besides managing The Cape Town Jazzathon, Craig also heads up the Training and Development department for The Cape Town International Jazz Festival. Craig also manages acclaimed musician Cameron Ward.
