MORE INFO ON SPEAKERS
Derek Geddes
A Fashion Education specialist who focuses on developing individual creatives. With a design education background from tenure at SA’s leading Design Schools, Derek offers beneficial insights on how best to present personal images to a wide audience. Building your image is crucial for artists who wish to have a marketable footprint in their creative industry.
Martin Myers
A UCT graduate, a Cape Town based publicist and music supervisor, Martin Myers began his career in the music industry by running UCT Radio at the University of Cape Town back in 1985. His big break arrived that same year when he organised a gig for Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse – the personal and professional relationship that was established and remains solid 30 years later. For 16 years, Martin was BMG / Sony Music Cape Town’s publicist, working closely with local and international acts including Vusi Mahlasela, BLK Sonshine, Shayne Ward, Joy Enriquez, John Legend, R Kelly, Lira, Lisa Stansfield, N Sync, BackStreet Boys, and Goldfish. Martin also writes a weekly Op-ed piece for Next 48 hours that appears under the Title – Music Exchange Sport – which is Martin’s second favourite passion. Since 2005 he has co-presented “On The Couch”, a Saturday morning sports show which airs between 9am and 10am on Heart 104.9fm. The show itself is a favourite with Cape Town sports fans and has been nominated for 3 radio awards.
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
