The Tony award winning musical comedy – Sister Act – finally comes to Cape Town this winter at the Artscape Arena from 12 to 15 July 2017. Based on the smash hit film featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act is simply divine!
With original songs by Oscar winner Alan Menken, Sister Act tells the story of a woman forced into hiding – who, whilst helping a convent of sisters to discover their voices, finally discovers her own.
It is a sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship!
Directed by Paul Griffiths (The Pirates of Penzance, Legally Blonde and Footloose) with Musical Direction by Garth Tavares (Shout! and Broadway or Bust) and choreography by theatrical stalwart Genna Galloway (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Grease, The Sound of Music) – this toe-tapping, feel-good musical features a large ensemble cast from The Waterfront Theatre College. A spectacular show guaranteed to make you rejoice!
Performances are Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 July at 20.00 and on Saturday 15 July there are two performances 15.00 and 20.00.

Sister Act – The Musical, celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the The Waterfront Theatre College and showcases the strengths of the student body.
The cast includes a range of students who are currently participating in the the College’s four year programme.
