ABOUT JAZZ ON RED

As winter fast approaches, JAZZ ON RED is once again proud to announce the exciting collective UNIT 5, who will take to the stage on Friday, 29 March, with a promise to take the chill off with what promises to be a scorching set!

The recent addition of JAZZ ON RED to the Cape Town live music calendar has now turned into a monthly affair! The jazz extravaganza, in the heart of the V&A Waterfront at the Radisson Red Hotel, launched in February with Chadleigh Gouwer.

Curated and hosted by Esra Overberg and special guests, JAZZ ON RED is excited to welcome this unique ensemble of seasoned jazz musicians who, between them, boast more than 20-years of live performance.

Made up of Peter Ndlala on bass, Carlo Fabe on drums, Jed Petersen on saxophone, Nobuhle Ashanti on keyboard and Muneeb Hermans on trumpet, their live chemistry is simply intoxicating!

There will also be a DJ set from Stan The Jazz Man, who will be on the decks, setting the mood while patrons settle in and enjoy a drink at QUIbar.

UNIT 5 will then open the evening’s entertainment with a selection of their original jazz compositions. Expect a night to remember in a room that does justice to accomplished musicians, passionate fans and lovers of all things JAZZ ON RED.
