Winston Siljeur to play at Radisson RED V&A Waterfront, Cape Town this weekend

Winston Siljeur is an impressive multi instrumentalist who hails from Robertson.

He has worked with Cara Frew, Ernie Smith Anton Goosen, Lloyd Cele, Heinz Winkler, Currently he is the Music Department Coordinator at Pneumatix Performing Arts Academy, Somerset West.
This weekend his 4 piece ensemble close off the Jazz on Red series on Friday 29th at the Radisson Red Hotel at the V &A Waterfront .Book at Quicket

When are you happiest?

When I’m on the keys, whether its at home, a rehearsal room, studio or onstage

What does music mean to you?

Everything!!! Music is who I am

What is the most enjoyable aspect of your work ?

Being able to inspire people, seeing people enjoy your music

What drives you…. Ego or Humility?

Humility for sure, I always like to describe as humble, down to earth and simply just hardworking and everyone around knows me like that…

Any funny moments on stage?

Falling of my chair whilst playing because I don’t sit still as I enjoy the music so much.

Which living person do you admire most and why?

Kirk Whallum, playing jazz, playing his music, making a life

What is your most treasured possession?

My stage piano

Perfroming my own music on big stages around the world.

Taking my kids on their 1st flight experience…Get super excited just imagining how dumbstruck and excited they would be

It would probably be an own composed overture of some sort as I would probably work it into my speech about being original….

Hardwork pays off

Nope, not into sports

Where would you like to be right now?

On an island, with the best scenery and tranquility

I giving my time and expertise to raise funds for charities

I wish to inspire, motivate…I dream off being in a position to make things happen for others, being the CEO of my well established company.
