Global Music Executive Charles Goldstuck to Feature on Business of Entertainment on CapeTalk

The Business of Entertainment on CapeTalk will host globally renowned music executive and investor Charles Goldstuck this Thursday 23rd April  at 9:00 PM.

Goldstuck is the Founder and Managing Partner of GoldState Music, a private investment firm focused on the music sector. The firm’s funds primarily invest in music rights as well as businesses requiring growth and expansion capital, positioning it at the forefront of music as an evolving asset class.

A highly accomplished operating executive and investor, Goldstuck brings extensive experience across recorded music, music publishing, and technology. Throughout his career, he has built and led businesses that have consistently delivered strong returns for investors.

Previously, Goldstuck served as President and COO of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), where he oversaw operations across its global music labels. In 2000, he co-founded J Records alongside legendary music executive Clive Davis, later helping build it into the RCA Music Group. His earlier roles include Executive Vice President/General Manager of Arista Records and Executive Vice President at Capitol Records.

During his tenure in the music industry, Goldstuck played a pivotal role in developing and supporting major global artists, including Usher, Leona Lewis, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Sarah McLachlan, and Avril Lavigne. He also revitalized the careers of iconic performers such as Rod Stewart and Annie Lennox, while contributing to the success of newer acts including Maroon 5.

In addition to his work in recorded music, Goldstuck is the founder of The Sanctuary at Albany, a state-of-the-art recording studio and music academy based in the Bahamas. He also serves as Executive Chairman of TouchTunes, the world’s largest out-of-home interactive digital entertainment network, with a presence in over 80,000 locations. Under his leadership, TouchTunes was transformed from a loss-making in-venue music business into a leading digital media platform.

He also led the modernization of the American jukebox, integrating social networking features and developing award-winning digital jukeboxes, including the Virtuo and Angelina.

Beyond his commercial achievements, Goldstuck is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives.

He co-founded the Bahamas Youth Foundation, which provides scholarships for Bahamian youth to access music education and training programs at The Sanctuary.
