South African rock iconย Steve Louwย returns with his powerful new studio albumย Traces of the Flood, released worldwide today 15 May throughย The Orchardย and BFD.

Produced byย internationally acclaimed producerย Kevin Shirleyย known for his work withย Joe Bonamassa,ย Beth Hartย andย Joanne Shaw Taylorย the album delivers a sweeping blend of rock, Americana, country-rock and blues storytelling.

The title track, โ€œTraces of the Flood,โ€ arrives with a cinematic new music video and captures the vast spirit of the South African Karoo through themes of escape, redemption and self-discovery.ย 

Louw describes the song as a journeyย through storms, deserts, rivers and forgotten landscapes โ€” a metaphorical road trip filled with renegades, dreamers and ghosts of the past.
