From the mountains of QwaQwa to dancefloors across South Africa, Tonicsoundz is steadily building a reputation as one of the country’s most exciting emerging Afro House producers and DJs.
Known for blending authentic African rhythms with contemporary electronic sounds, Tonicsoundz is an artist driven by purpose, passion and an unwavering commitment to creating music that connects people emotionally, spiritually and culturally.
The South African producer, whose growing catalogue includes releases such as Impumelelo 2.0, Tsa Basotho 2.0, Welele, Blessings and the Night Ride project, continues to attract new audiences through his distinctive sound and energetic live performances.
Spotify listeners have embraced his music, with tracks such as Welele and S’jabule gaining significant attention and helping establish his growing profile within the Afro House landscape.
For Tonicsoundz, music is far more than entertainment.
“Music is healing. It’s memory, happiness, storytelling and freedom all in one,” he explains.

His creative inspiration comes from the natural beauty surrounding him, particularly the mountains of QwaQwa, as well as everyday conversations, life experiences and the people he encounters along the way.
“My purpose is to create music that connects people emotionally, spiritually and culturally. I want every sound I create to make people feel seen, inspired and happy.”
That authenticity is central to everything he does. His personal motto, “Stay authentic. Stay evolving,” reflects an artist focused on longevity rather than hype.
Among his greatest influences are Black Coffee, acclaimed producer, Sun-El Musician global icon Nelson Mandela.
He credits Black Coffee in particular for demonstrating that African sounds can dominate the world’s biggest stages while remaining true to their roots.
Tonicsoundz’s ambitions are equally bold. His bucket list includes performing at major international festivals such as AfrikaBurn, Coachella and Tomorrowland, before eventually launching a flagship festival of his own.
Yet despite his growing success, he remains firmly connected to his community.
He currently supports youth football and cycling initiatives in QwaQwa and hopes one day to create greater opportunities for emerging artists from the region.

His ultimate vision is clear: to become a world-touring DJ and award-winning producer while building a global brand rooted in African storytelling.
“Consistency and authenticity will always outlast hype,” he says.
As Tonicsoundz continues his journey, one thing is becoming increasingly evident: this is an artist whose story is only beginning. With new music, collaborations and an EP planned for release by the end of 2026, the self-proclaimed “King of Soundz” is steadily transforming a dream into a movement.
For fans of authentic Afro House music, Tonicsoundz is a name worth watching.
