Music Exchange (MEX) Nominated for Music Business Award – Africa (MBAA)

Music Exchange NPC  (MEX) has been nominated for Music Business Conference of the Year at the inaugural Music Business Awards Africa, alongside ACCES and The Music Imbizo.

The award recognises an African music conference that advances industry knowledge and creates opportunities for people to connect and work together.

Now in its 16th year, Music Exchange held its 2026 conference
in Cape Town on 31 October, bringing local creatives, international speakers and industry decision-makers together for practical conversations on music rights, licensing music for film and television, and the impact of AI on the music business.

For those who wish to vote, the details are below, but founder Martin Myers remarked that MEX was founded not to be about awards and self-interest, but has invested in pushing the needle in outcomes-based conversations and links to effect change for creatives over the past 16 years
