Mozambican saxophonist Moreira Chonguiça celebrates the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Vol 1: The Journey, with a special vinyl edition and a concert at Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano on December 12, 2025. The event commemorates two decades of musical evolution and coincides with Mozambique’s 50th independence anniversary.
In September 2025, renowned Mozambican artist Moreira Chonguiça released "Na ku randza," the second part of his trilogy commemorating Mozambique's 50th independence anniversary. Featuring vocalist Pauleta Muholove, the song reinterprets a classic by Gito Baloi. Filmed at Maputo's Central Train Station, it symbolizes resilience and Mozambican identity.
