DISCO KNIGHTS
The Mother City has a history of DJ and Nightclubbing culture dating back to the early 70’s when the Saturday Night Fever bug started to bite the music and entertainment scene with the sound of Disco which evolved into the Garage and House music during the early 80’s.
Legendary Deejays like the late DJ Solly and DJ Russell [Space Odyssey] and Dr Boogie were controlling the dancefloors around nightclub institutions in Cape Town and became household names and are still remembered today.
Disco Knights is a nostalgic event to commemorate the “good ole days” and feature legends Dr Beat [Mark Johnson], Mikey G, Brian Bo Horne [very first DJ at Club Galaxy], Superfly and Selwyn Bartlett all who have made an impact, over the decades, on the lives of many not only in Cape Town but nationally and abroad to expats who still want a taste of home.
The event will be held on Saturday 8 October at Hanover Street Nightclub at Grandwest Casino and Entertainment World hosted by the popular social media influencer and comedian “Tandjies”.
