Woofstock Sunday: Toughguy, Gaze & more rock The Armchair Theatre to raise funds for PlumPets
What could be better than browsing a craft market, listening to live bands and enjoying a slice of pizza and an ice-cold beer, all in aid of a worthy cause?
Get ready for Woofstock Sunday, an epic fundraising event happening at The Armchair Theatre on Sunday, 20 November 2022. Starting out with a daytime market packed with a wide range of exciting and creative goodies, followed by a musical journey courtesy of an extremely talented line-up of musicians – plus an all-day R65 pizza special and ice-cold beer on tap – Woofstock Sunday promises to be an unforgettable affair.

From Toughguy’s face-melting rock and the intricate, progressive alt-rock sounds of Gaze, to the creative musical stylings of We Are The Crystals and Glitterous, Woofstock Sunday promises to keep you enthralled throughout the afternoon and well into the night.
And the best part? All proceeds from the door will go straight to PlumPets, a no-kill animal shelter and advocacy group.
PlumPets was founded in 2006 by Paulette Bousfield and veterinarian Duncan Stevens, in response to the increasingly dire situation at Plumstead Animal Hospital. They found that more and more people were bringing in stray dogs and cats from the surrounding areas, many in need of physical as well as emotional rehabilitation. At present, PlumPets employs four dog walkers, is able to sleep up to 48 dogs, and has an extensive community support base.
But the COVID pandemic hit PlumPets, and the community it services, very hard. Most of their debit orders were cancelled, and since their sole vet, Duncan, is asthmatic, they were forced to drastically cut down on their volunteer and dog-walking numbers to keep him safe. Both Duncan and Paulette are nearing retirement age, and run PlumPets at great personal financial cost.
Help us raise funds for this crucial cause, and have an absolute blast doing it, at Woofstock Sunday, 20 November 2022 from 4pm.
Tickets are R80 on Quicket and R100 at the door. Spaces are limited, so get your ticket today to make sure you don’t miss out
